We hope the information about our practice helps you find a clinician who feels like the right fit to support you in that process.
Individual therapy is designed to help reduce the impact of distressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We begin with an initial assessment to understand your goals, strengths, and any barriers you may be facing. From there, we take a biopsychosocial approach and draw from various approaches - such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and others - to create a plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
The process of couples therapy begins with an assessment conducted both together as a couple and individually, allowing us to develop clear, specific treatment goals. The overall aim of therapy is to identify the relational patterns that maintain your concerns and to help you restructure those patterns in ways that support a healthier, more sustainable relationship. This approach is informed by the work of Sue Johnson and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as the Gottman Method developed by John Gottman and Julie Gottman.
Family therapy aims to help families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. It provides a safe space for family members to express their concerns, gain a deeper understanding of one another, and work together to overcome challenges. Whether addressing issues such as parenting, blended family dynamics, or unresolved conflicts, family therapy fosters healthier interactions and promotes overall family well-being.
Teletherapy is psychotherapy or counseling provided via audio or video connection through a HIPAA compliant internet platform. Therapy is essentially the same as you would receive in office. As with other services, there are benefits and risks in using this modality.
Since 2001, Chris has been an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. He offers clinical supervision to help you with fulfilling requirements for state licensure, continuing education or consultation. Supervision is provided in accordance with COAMFTE and CACREP standards and other regulating bodies.
Group therapy is a therapeutic approach where individuals meet with a trained therapist in a supportive group setting to address shared concerns or challenges. It allows participants to connect with others who are facing similar issues, providing a sense of community and mutual support. While we do not currently have any groups in session, we are planning to introduce them in the future. If you're interested or would like more information, please feel free to inquire or share your interest with us.
